📌 TODAY'S TOP STORY 🚧 Traffic Alert: A1A Closed Overnight Between Hallandale Beach Blvd and Hollywood Blvd Heads up if you're heading out this morning — the City of Hallandale Beach issued an overnight traffic alert for a full road closure on A1A/South Ocean Drive between Hallandale Beach Boulevard and Hollywood Boulevard. The closure began at 6 PM Saturday to allow crews to remove the elevated pedestrian bridge connecting the Diplomat Beach Resort to its parking garage. Roads are expected to reopen by 6 AM Sunday morning — but if you're out early, check conditions before heading that way and plan an alternate route just in case. Traffic detours are in place and delays are possible in the area.

🏗️ Hollywood's Beloved Holland Park Wooden Tower Coming Down June 15 Hollywood residents who love Holland Park — heads up. The City of Hollywood has announced that the iconic wooden tower at Holland Park will be demolished starting Monday June 15, with the 12-day removal process expected to wrap up by June 26. The decision wasn't taken lightly — city engineers determined the structure has reached the end of its service life and poses a public safety risk if left standing. The demolition will be carried out in phases, starting with safety fencing and utility disconnection before full demolition begins on Day 4. The park will remain open throughout with disruption kept to a minimum. No word yet on what replaces the tower — The Hollywood Blend will keep you posted.
