🌿 Hallandale Beach Is Fighting the Sargassum Battle - Here's What the City Is Doing About It

If you've been to Hallandale Beach lately and noticed unusually high levels of brown seaweed piling up on the shore - the city wants you to know they're on it. In a post shared just yesterday, the City of Hallandale Beach confirmed that sargassum levels are historically high this year - affecting much of the shoreline with more arriving daily with changing tides, weather and wave action. City crews are on the beach every morning and have deployed two tractors simultaneously to manage the buildup. While the upper beach is cleaned daily, heavy accumulation closer to the waterline limits where equipment can safely operate.
